Claudio Roncoli is an Associate Professor at KU Leuven, Belgium. Prior to joining KU Leuven, he was an Associate Professor at Aalto University, Finland, where he still holds a Visiting Professor position. Earlier appointments include research roles at the Technical University of Crete (Greece) and the University of Genova (Italy), as well as visiting research positions at the University of Queensland, the University of Sydney (Australia), and Imperial College London (UK). He has led multiple national and international research and innovation projects related to transport and traffic management. His research focuses on real-time traffic management; modelling, optimisation and control of traffic systems with connected and automated vehicles; and smart mobility and intelligent transport systems. https://claudioroncoli.github.io/
Muhammad Haris is a Doctoral Researcher at the Department of Built Environment, Aalto University, Finland, where he is pursuing a Doctor of Engineering in Spatial Planning and Transportation Engineering. He previously obtained his Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from King Abdullah University of Science & Technology, Saudi Arabia, and his Bachelor’s degree in the same field from the National University of Sciences & Technology, Pakistan. Prior to his doctoral studies, he worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Robotics, Intelligent Systems, and Control Lab, King Abdullah University of Science & Technology. His current work focuses on developing model-based solutions for complex urban mobility challenges. His broader interests include real-time traffic management systems, air traffic management, applied optimization, mathematical modelling, and intelligent transport systems.
