Mr. Panagiotis Typaldos, a PhD student supervised by Prof. Markos Papageorgiou, member of DSSL and contributor to TrafficFluid, accomplished successfully his PhD thesis defense on 22 December 2022. The jury comprised 4 external members (Prof. Elias Kosmatopoulos – Democritus University of Thrace, Prof. Andreas Malikopoulos – University of Delaware, Prof. Iasson Karafyllis – National Technical University of Athens, Prof. Claudio Roncoli – Aalto University), as well as Profs. Ioannis Papamichail, Ioannis Nikolos and Lefteris Doitsidis. The PhD thesis is entitled "Effect of automated vehicles on highway traffic flow and signalized junctions". We congratulate Dr. Typaldos on this achievement!
