Mr. Milad Malekzadeh, a PhD student supervised by Prof. Markos Papageorgiou and Prof. Ioannis Papamichail, member of DSSL and contributor to TrafficFluid, accomplished successfully his PhD thesis defense on 10 November 2023. The jury comprised 2 external members (Prof. Iasson Karafyllis – National Technical University of Athens, Prof. Klaus Bogenberger – Technical University of Munich), as well as Profs. Markos Papageorgiou, Ioannis Papamichail, Georgios Chalkiadakis, Lefteris Doitsidis and Dimitrios Ipsakis. The PhD thesis is entitled "Internal boundary control of lane-free automated vehicles traffic". We congratulate Dr. Malekzadeh on this achievement!
