The 2020 Stanford University bibliometric study ranks the top 2 % of world’s researchers. Among them, Prof. Papageorgiou ranked # 17577 out of 186178 for his overall work; and # 13936 out of 190064 for his 2020 published work, i.e. he ranked, in both categories, within the upper 10 % of the top 2 % of world’s researchers. This places him at # 1 among all researchers of the Technical University of Crete.
